Liven up your Mondays with this all new hip-hop instrumental EP from 00Genesis. This EP features future-thinking bass heavy exclusives, and instrumentals from the recently released, Monday Blues EP.
Monday Blues EP has been a work in progress since 2006; it started with a collection of collaborations between L.A. rapper and DJ, Just Dave and Ghosthack, and the DMV’s very own, 00Genesis.
A nod to the authentic golden-age hip-hop, Monday Blues EP infuses jazzy samples, raw chops, bass-heavy beats and turntablism. A must cop for hip-hop purists, and for younger hip-hop enthusiasts.
This instrumental EP was entirely composed, produced, mixed, mastered, illustrated, and designed by 00Genesis, born Lloye Sean Warner.
00Genesis, aka 00, has been known to do design work for Diamond District’s yU, Kev Brown and Charlie Ross. 00 has also collaborated musically with D.C. natives Oddisee, Muhsinah, and DTMD. Among others, 00 has also worked with London’s Tranqill and fLako.
In 2010, 00 was invited to participate as a member of the Red Bull Music Academy in London and has since had his music played by DJ’s worldwide including DJ Benji B of BBC Radio 1 (LDN) and Jay Scarlett of Beat Dimensions (NL).
To date, 00 has shared the stage with artists like Katy B, AraabMuzik, Muhsinah, Gonjasufi & Electric Wire Hustle, performing everywhere from local venues in D.C. to massive international festivals like the 2011 Sonar Electronic Music Festival (Barcelona).
With several new releases slated for release in 2013, 00Genesis is sure to conquer headphones and clubs alike with abstract rhythms, engulfing bass, and lilting chords.
